That’s What It’s All About

A Thompson Airways charter flight from Tunisia to Edinburgh, Scotland, was interrupted when a passenger demanded “cigarettes and a parachute” from flight attendants. When they didn’t meet that demand, the woman attacked with the only weapon at her disposal: she “assaulted the cabin crew with her prosthetic leg,” another passenger said. “They took it off her, but she started kicking them with her good leg.” The plane made an emergency landing at London Gatwick airport so police could contain the unnamed 48-year-old woman, who is Scottish. “She was off her face on drink,” the witness noted. As police led her off the plane, the other passengers accompanied the action by singing the “Hokey Pokey”.
