The Circle of Life, Terrorist Edition

According to Sheikh Anwar al-Assi, a chief of the local Ubaid tribe and supervisor of anti-ISIS forces, ISIS fighters took cover in Iraq’s al-Rashad region in preparation for a surprise attack on a band of local tribesmen. But their position was overrun. “It is likely their movement disturbed a herd of wild pigs, which inhabit the area,” al-Assi said. “The area is dense with reeds, which are good for hiding in.” The wild boars killed three fighters, and injured five others.
