“If you are going to carry a handgun on your person,” suggests Chandler, Ariz., police detective Seth Tyler, “use a holster, not your waistband.” That’s his advice after investigating a shooting in the city. His investigation showed that Joshua Seto, 27, jammed his girlfriend’s pink pistol in his waistband as they walked from their car to a grocery store. The gun discharged; the bullet ripped through his genitalia, then through his thigh. The shooting has been ruled accidental, and charges against Seto for carelessness may be pending.
