A woman using Facebook says the social site “recommended” a new friend for her: Alan O’Neill’s wife. The only problem: she was already his wife. O’Neill had left her, but never filed for divorce, she says. O’Neill, 41, is a jailer for Pierce County, Wash. Wife 1 turned him in, and O’Neill has been charged with bigamy — a felony in Washington — and has been put on unpaid administrative leave from his job. “It’s not the crime of the century, but it is a crime,” the prosecutor said.
