Traveling Light

A man identified only as “Dean” needed to fly from Melbourne, Vic., Australia to Perth, W.A., and didn’t have any luggage, so he checked a can of beer as a joke. Airport luggage handlers took it seriously: the can was tagged with a claim check and sent into baggage handling, and it was waiting for Den in Perth. “I half didn’t expect it to come out the other end,” Dean said. “But when it did it was sent out well in front of all the other luggage, so the baggage handlers obviously appreciated it.” He knew his Emu Export lager was there before he even saw it, since other passengers had taken out their smartphones to take photos of the luggage carousel. “Sure enough there she was, alone on the carousel.” (RC/Melbourne Herald Sun) ...What’s so weird? Beer always quickly comes out the other end.
