Australia’s Sydney Zoo is offering a contest for Valentine’s day: for a $1 donation, your ex’s name, and a statement as to why you’re deserving, you’re entered in a contest. The prize: they will name a snake after the winner’s ex, and “you can also visit the snake in Darling Harbour as many times as you want during the next year!” said zoo manager Mark Connolly. Meanwhile, Texas’s El Paso Zoo has its own twist: participants don’t even have to donate, but they can send in their ex’s name and the zoo will name a cockroach after them.
