Where a Kid Can Be a Kid

Aesian Anunique Clay, 20, took her daughter to Chuck E. Cheese’s in St. Charles, Mo., to celebrate the girl’s first birthday. And it was a special day for another reason, too: “Say your last goodbye to your daddy,” a witness says she told the girl, “because he is going to die today.” Clay had already called her boyfriend, police say, to tell him to bring his gun to the pizza parlor, because she was having a custody dispute with the child’s father. The boyfriend did allegedly arrive with a pistol, but the father was not hit in the resulting shooting: instead, he managed to shoot Clay’s father several times, but he is expected to survive. No one else was injured. Arieon Demico Ford, 22, the alleged shooter, was found after a manhunt, and Clay is being held on a charge of attempted first-degree assault. The child’s father’s name has been withheld from the public. (RC/St. Louis Post-Dispatch) ...Yeah, I wouldn’t want to be associated with her either.
