Whip It Good

Police in Centralia, Wash., were dispatched to a hit and run crash. They located the suspect vehicle and gave chase. The driver, later identified as 52 year old Robin Wick, led officers on a high speed chase, police say. “Wick continued driving and [made] several turns down side streets,” a department spokesman said, “failing to stop at all stop signs while driving in the oncoming lane of traffic.” They say that during the chase, Wick was seen breathing fumes from a “Whip it” canister while driving — a nitrous oxide charger for whipped cream dispensers; “laughing gas” is a common recreational drug. Police were able to eventually stop the car, but Wick allegedly refused to cooperate. An officer broke out the back window and used pepper spray to subdue her. Police said they found another 30 or so Whip its in the vehicle. (MS/Centralia Chronicle) ...This wasn’t a laughing matter, although Wick might disagree.
