Worse than Having Your Car Horn Stuck on When You’re Behind a Group of Hell’s Angels

A driver in Richmond, Calif., rear-ended the car in front of her because she was playing with her cell phone. Adding to her woes: the guy she hit was Richmond Police Chief Chris Magnus. The 58-year-old woman had her head down looking at the cell phone when she hit his car, causing major damage to both vehicles. Magnus called in an on-duty officer, and the woman admitted the cause of the accident was her cell phone distraction. Magnus chose not to cite her because he didn’t want to tell the responding officer what to do. (JW/Contra Costa Times) ...Though now the chief has to cite the officer for dereliction of duty.
