Yelp Indeed

A friendly food delivery person asked Yesha Callahan to leave a review on Yelp, and she obliged. The restaurant’s manager wasn’t entirely pleased, however: Callahan found fault with the food (example: “The zeppoles barely had any powdered sugar on them & were soggy.”), and gave the place three stars. Then, at about 10:00 p.m., there was a knock on her door. “I was scared,” said Callahan. “I was scared. I’ve seen horror movies.” She didn’t answer. Then her phone rang — twice. She didn’t answer that, either. “When I finally listened to the message, he was saying he was outside my door to talk about the Yelp review,” Callahan said. She changed her rating to one star, with an explanation. The manager of the Sterling, Va., restaurant accepted the blame, but offered an explanation of his own: “I went to her house to give her a replacement order.” (AC/WNYW New York) ...He wouldn’t be the first man to scare a woman by trying to be nice to her, but it doesn’t usually involve soggy zeppoles.
