You Should Have Seen the One that Got Away

The report to police in Boulder, Colo., sounded odd from the start. Some men — looked like students — were drinking while fishing from a canoe. Not so weird, except that the canoe was on top of a bus in the road, and the men were “throwing money” around. When officers arrived, they said the bus was parked, and while the men indeed had fishing poles, the money was “bait” — not being thrown around. And there was no evidence of drinking, so the officers left them alone. Or, as police spokeswoman Laurie Ogden put it, “They were just having some fun.” (RC/Boulder Daily Camera) ...Which isn’t illegal. Yet.
