Always Be Careful When Ordering the Special

Stephen Johnson, 53, allegedly answered an online escort ad, where he was told he could pay $80 for 30 minutes, or $100 for the “two-girl special.” According to the police report, Johnson opted for the special, and arranged to meet the ladies in a hotel in Dania Beach, Fla. But when he got there, he found an undercover officer, who promptly arrested him. “I want to apologize to the community, and I want to apologize to my elected officials,” Johnson said. “Tonight was a very unfortunate night for me dealing with an incident that occurred today. It just overwhelmed me.” The “incident” involved an undercover officer running over a young girl. The officer worked for Johnson — who, until his arrest, was the Miami Gardens Police Chief. He had been hired to help mend the department’s battered reputation. “We were in a bit of turmoil at the time,” City Manager Cameron Benson said. “I was bringing in someone who was experienced, who had served as chief and who could come in and mend relationships with the community.” (MS/South Florida Sun-Sentinel) ...And that’s exactly what he did in his “special” way.
