Caught with Their Pants Down

Upper Darby, Pa., Lt. James Reif was running 25 officers through an annual bike unit course for area police departments. “We started the bike classes on Monday and the first day is spent in the classroom and the rest of the week is spent riding all through the township,” police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said. “It was a beautiful day Tuesday and the park was filled with people, although there were none in their immediate vicinity until the police rode in. Lt. Reif was leading the pack of bike police into the park and the couple quickly pulled up their pants.” The class had happened upon Richard McBride, 37, and Jennifer Harvey, 41, allegedly in mid-tryst. “She was seen leaning over a bench on the first base side of the field and the guy was standing behind her,” Chitwood explained. “The officers in the bike school were shocked when they saw the couple and the two people having sex in the park were shocked, too, when they saw the police.” Reif arrested the couple on charges of open lewdness and disorderly conduct.
