Cellular Deafness

After Carlos Cooper Jr, 26, crashed into a building in Michigan City, Ind., early in the morning, he was injured enough to be taken to the hospital, where police charged him with refusing a urine test to determine his level of intoxication. Later the same day, Cooper was walking and apparently talking on his cell phone — and either didn’t hear the train bearing down on him from behind, blasting its horn, or ignored it. When Cooper was hit, he was thrown an “unknown distance” and, when medics arrived to help, he was “semi-conscious” and unable to speak. Cooper was taken back to the hospital, but this time he was flown to a bigger hospital by helicopter, where he was admitted in “unknown condition.” (RC/Michigan City News-Dispatch) ...Unknown? I can tell what it is from here: “Stupid.”
