Floridefendant

Felicia Underwood, 38, was in court in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to face drug trafficking charges. Prosecutors had asked Judge John “Jay” Hurley to set her bail at $76,000; Underwood was pushing for a much lower bail. Judge Hurley ordered the amount set at $10,000, but that wasn’t low enough for Underwood. “You can’t make it a little lower, hon?” she allegedly asked the judge. “Did she just refer to the court as ‘honey’?” asked an incredulous Judge Hurley. He did not hold Underwood in contempt, but he did leave her bail at $10,000. (RC/South Florida Sun-Sentinel) ...Well, doesn’t it say “The Hon. John Hurley” right on his nameplate?
