Floridumb Criminal — No, Wait...

Lynn Rosenthal was arrested after allegedly driving to work under the influence of drugs, hitting a police car, hitting a median on the Interstate, and crashing into the parking lot gates at the Broward County, Fla., courthouse. She was arrested in the parking lot of the courthouse, where she works as a circuit judge. She failed a field sobriety test, but may not be charged because she did not appear to have been drinking alcohol. Rosenthal allegedly admitted to taking a sleeping pill the night before. “Under Florida law, [that drug] is not listed as a controlled substance,” defense attorney Michael Dye said. “It doesn’t apply to Florida’s impaired driving statute.” Jahra McLawrence, Rosenthal’s opponent in an upcoming election, has concerns. “If true, it would be disturbing to know she was about to take the bench and decide on people’s fates while under the influence,” he said. (MS/South Florida Sun-Sentinel) ...On the other hand, that could put her at the right level to deal with some of the “great” criminal minds in Florida.
