Freak of Nomenclature, Drive-Through Division

Taco Bell restaurant employees called police to report a bizarre beating. Two men in separate cars in the drive-through at 2:00 a.m. got into an argument, and one of the men — dressed in a clown suit — allegedly attacked the other. The clown, who police identified as Lance L. Cormican, 24, was arrested for second-degree assault after witnesses say he punched Bryan K. Descloux, 27, in the face. Descloux suffered skull fractures, hearing loss, and paralysis on one side of his face; it is unknown whether the damage is permanent. The incident occurred in Battle Ground, Wash. Descloux was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. (RC/Vancouver Columbian) ...If that’s a second-degree assault, I hate to ponder what would be worthy of first-degree.
