Going Medieval On You

Andrew Francis Scalera, 44, had two people in his Frederick, Md., home doing paperwork for his painting company. Around midnight, Scalera awoke and accused one of them of filching some change from his room. When the man denied the accusation, charging documents say, Scalera choked the employee — and when the latter escaped by hitting his boss, Scalera fetched a decorative medieval-style ax and threatened to kill him. The man responded by threatening to pepper-spray Scalera, but he said Scalera struck before he could spray him. His forearm was chopped to the bone. Scalera attempted to apologize, but has been charged with assault. (AC/Frederick News-Post) ...If a painter threatens you with pepper spray, he may rate a pink slip, but don’t give him the ax.
