I Told You to Take Care of That Before We Left

Three men were driving near Sanford, Fla., when one needed to pee. They pulled over and Brandon Rapé, 18, got out to relieve himself. That’s when the other two guys saw a snake — no, a real snake — and decided to shoot it. Jared Hemphill, 18, grabbed a rifle, but when he turned back, he didn’t see the snake. He did, however, hear a noise in the bushes and opened fire — shooting Rapé in the thigh. When he saw what he had done, Hemphill dropped the rifle and threw Rapé in the car to take him to the hospital. Deputies found the rifle at the scene. Rapé refused to press charges, so deputies let Hemphill go. (RC/Orlando Sentinel) ...Which does not, of course, mean that Rapé will.
