Inside Job

The State Bank of India had one of its 50,000 ATMs quit working for several days. When technicians finally went to check on the machine in Tinsukia, they opened it to find that about 1.2 million rupees (US$17,600) out of the 2.9 million rupees inside were shredded. The culprit was quickly located: there was also a dead rat inside the machine. “We have started an investigation into this rare incident,” said Tinsukia branch manager Chandan Sharma, “and will take measures to prevent a recurrence.” (MS/Reuters) ...Install a cat inside.
