Davie, Fla., has closed its Silver Lakes Rotary Nature Park after an alligator dragged Shizuka Matsuki, 47, into a lake, killing her. Matsuki was walking her dogs in the park when she was attacked. When will the park reopen? Once the city implements the same solution Walt Disney World came up with in 2016 after an alligator did the same thing to a 2-year-old boy: it’s putting up warning signs. “We will also be implementing a public information campaign with our residents to remind them of these natural hazards,” said Davie Assistant Town Manager Phillip Holste.
