Intimate Violations

A man’s genitals were forcibly penetrated with a catheter while he was strapped down at Avera St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre, S.D. The purpose: to seize urine for a drug test. The warrant said blood or urine, according to court papers, and it didn’t mention anything about forced penetration with a catheter. The victim’s lawyer is trying to get the evidence suppressed, but the state attorney general said forced catheterization is legal with a court order. “They don’t anesthetize them,” said another lawyer. “There’s a lot of screaming and hollering.” (AC/Sioux Falls Argus Leader) ...What else would you suggest, chemicals to make them feel better? That’s what got them into this.
