Lead by Example — or Not
U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Gregory McQueen, 39, showed no emotion as he was sentenced to 24 months in prison, reduction in rank to private, and a dishonorable discharge after he pleaded guilty to 15 charges surrounding a prostitution ring he ran at Fort Hood, Texas. The charges included working with another soldier to recruit lower ranking female soldiers into the ring, and recruiting one woman who allegedly became one of McQueen’s “GI hookers” to buy diapers for her baby. The sentencing ended McQueen’s 21-year career — and removed him from his position as a sexual assault victim advocate.
