No Family Resemblance
When Damon J. Matthews, 19, of Bay City, Mich., offered his sister some cigarettes, she was suspicious and asked him where he got them — she knew he didn’t have a job to afford to buy any. He allegedly told her that he had just robbed the local 7-Eleven store, netting cash and “numerous packs” of smokes. The woman dragged her brother to the Bay County Jail, and made him turn himself in. She said he “had to” turn himself in because “everyone” would know who the robber is: her younger brother is 74" tall. Sure enough, the store clerk had recognized Matthews: he went to high school with him. Matthews, who had been convicted in an unrelated theft charge four days before, was charged with armed robbery. (RC/Bay City News) ...In the Matthews family, Damon got the height, his sister got the brains.Original Publication Date: 03 January 2016
