Jailed Juggler
Frank E. Blake Jr. got a visit from his wife in the Henrico County, Va., jail. His other wife also visited at the same time, which led police to investigate Blake’s situation. They discovered Blake was still married to his second wife when he married his third. They also found that Blake had married his second wife on the day he received notification that his first wife had filed for divorce, even though they were still legally married. Blake pleaded no contest to bigamy and was sentenced to five more years in jail, with 3-1/2 of those years suspended. “I want to apologize to all y’all in the courtroom,” he said before his sentencing. “I didn’t know I was breaking the law at all. You can put me on a lie detector.” (MS/Richmond Times-Dispatch) ...Likely, all three wives can testify about just how much of an obliviot he is.Original Publication Date: 03 January 2016
