Something’s Screwy About This

Police discovered a 43-year-old man covered in blood outside his Suffern, N.Y., home. The victim told police his son, Jared Hudson, had stabbed him multiple times in the head with a screwdriver during an argument. Police were able to locate the screwdriver, but not the 23-year-old son. “We’re looking for him and we didn’t know which way he ran,” Police Chief Clarke Osborn said. “Then we get a call from the station.” An officer had spotted a man fitting Hudson’s description going into the public restroom at police headquarters. Sure enough, Hudson was in the police station’s restroom. He was charged with second-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon, and held on $250 bail.
