Take a Bite Out of Crime

There are apparently so many fake service animals in Florida that the state has passed a new law against it — and the penalty is jail time. “There was a need for it,” confirms the law’s sponsor, State Rep. Jimmie Smith of Inverness, but it took some careful crafting to comply with the federal Americans with Disabilities Act. “So many people wanted us to do certifications and we absolutely told them there was no way to do certifications because the federal government doesn’t do certifications.” But he is confident that the law as written will stand. (RC/News 13 Orlando) ...Hopefully this will finally put an end to faux paws.
