This is Clearly Someone Else’s Fault

Jane Mulcahy sued her attorneys for malpractice after her divorce case, which Ms. Mulcahy apparently initiated. It’s not because the divorce wasn’t granted, but because it was. The woman, who is British, though her city was not noted, claims that her lawyer should have told her that “divorce” meant that her marriage would be terminated, which she didn’t want because she is Roman Catholic. After it was all over, she says the lawyer should instead have recommended a court-ordered separation. The lawsuit was thrown out by the judge, appealed by Ms. Mulcahy, and thrown out again. (RC/London Independent) ...One can perhaps understand why Mr. Mulcahy apparently didn’t contest the proceedings.
