Grandma and Grandpa’s Excellent Adventure

A couple was reported missing in East Houston, Texas, after they left a family gathering to drive to a relative’s house a mile away. Authorities said Salomon Gasca, 78, and his wife, Lorenza, 75, were eventually found in good condition in a gas station parking lot — in Pensacola, Fla. The Gascas told police they’d driven as far as they could, then spent the night at the gas station, and were planning to drive east. Officers were planning to take away their car keys. Their daughter had authorities put them up in a hotel overnight using her credit card, and said she would fly to Pensacola to pick them up. Relatives reported that Lorenza had forgotten to take her cell phone with her when they left for the family function. (JW/KHOU Houston) ...As if the missing cell phone had anything to do with it.
