Luther is Dunn

A 17-year-old boy in Lakeland, Fla., told sheriff’s deputies he was sitting in his mother’s car at a gas station when a man came up to him and demanded at knife-point, “Give me some gas money.” The boy refused, but the man, identified by sheriff’s deputies as Luther Dunn, 32, was persistent, and the boy grabbed a tire iron out of the car’s trunk. Dunn himself allegedly told deputies that he tried to grab the boy, but he got hit by that tire iron and “body slammed” to the concrete, ending the robbery attempt. Dunn was charged with attempted armed robbery with a deadly weapon, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Deputies say Dunn is a “career offender” with seven prior felony convictions. (RC/Lakeland Ledger) ...Time for a new career.
