A Few Shots Too Many

Maria Cristina Antunez, 38, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., got into a tussle at 1:00 a.m. with a “shot girl” at the popular and upscale Broadway at the Beach shopping center. The “shot girl” has a tray filled with liquor shots for sale to customers. Antunez apparently spotted the 23-year-old server talking to Antunez’s boyfriend, and went up to them to object, telling the server that the man was her boyfriend and she certainly would not be selling him a shot. When the server said OK and turned to walk away, Antunez allegedly grabbed her by the hair and punched her in the face repeatedly until security guards came to her rescue. After reviewing security camera video, police arrested Antunez for assault and battery. Officers marveled at the video, noting the server’s tray had 10–20 shots on it, and she didn’t spill a drop the entire time. (RC/Myrtle Beach Sun News) ...Of course not: she’s a professional — just not the kind Antunez thought she was.
